I am writing to ask for your vote on May 7 to approve natural grass at Crocker, with proper drainage and irrigation, in place of artificial turf.
The other improvements in this project, the playgrounds, the hard court upgrades, the shade and drainage work. They have strong community support and should move forward.
I also respectfully ask the Board to commit that no new full playing field at any SCUSD elementary school will be installed as artificial turf going forward. A vote for grass at Crocker on May 7, paired with that commitment, would put every elementary student in this district first.
